STATMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE
The Drysdale Methodist Church was constructed by Geelong builder, George Butt in 1887/88 to Victorian Gothic Revival style designs by local architects, A. J. Derrick and Company. The church was established to replace earlier churches farming community on the Bellarine Peninsula.
This polychromatic brick church is picturesquely enhanced with towering pinnacles and finials and decorated tracery windows by celebrated Geelong mason and sculptor, Clement Nash.
