STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE
'Soho' at Drysdale was erected in 1883-84 for Samuel Lees to designs prepared by Watts and Jackson architects. This large single storey weatherboard clad timber framed villa is a typically planned late Victorian ear residence with a axial plan and flauting window bays. The essential Victorian character is retained bust cast iron decoration and other alterations have reduced the integrity of the place.
Soho interesting local association with Samuel Less, a district farmer who died prematurely in 1897.
