STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCEThe SS Orungal anchor in the Barwon Heads Park at 7-71 Ewing Blyth Drive is historically and scientifically significant at a LOCAL level. It is associated with and contributes to an understanding of the history the wreck of the SS Orungal vessel, a mid twentieth century maritime disaster near Barwon Heads.
Overall, the SS Orungal anchor in the Barwon Heads Park at 771 Ewing Blyth Drive is of LOCAL significance. Statement of Cultural Significance
