C Listed - Local Significance
The house at 14 River parade is aesthetically significant at a LOCAL level. Although relocated to this site, it still demonstrates original design qualities of the Late Federation style. These qualities include the dominant, broken-back hipped roof form, return verandah and a minor gable that projects towards the street frontage. Other intact or appropriate qualities include the galvanised corrugated iron roof cladding, horizontal weatherboard wall cladding, unpainted brick and multi-corbelled chimney, timber framed double hung windows and central doorway, turned timber verandah columns, decorative arched timber fretwork valance, roof ridge ornaments and the decorative gable infill (ventilator, battening and panelling).
Overall, the house at 14 River Parade is of LOCAL significance.

Residence - Physical Description 1
Description
The site at 14 River Parade has typical front and side setbacks, with a driveway along the side. A turned timber post and painted galvanised corrugated iron fence forms the front boundary, and is approximately 1300mm high. There may also be remnants of an early garden in the front yard.
The single storey, horizontal weatherboard, Late Federation styled house is characterised by a dominant hipped roof form, broken back roofed return verandah and a minor gable that projects towards the street frontage. These roof forms are clad in galvanised corrugated iron. An introduced, unpainted brick and multi-corbelled chimney adorns the roofline. The timber framed double hung windows appear to be early under the return verandah, as does the central doorway with sidelight.
A feature of the design is the return verandah. It is supported by early turned timber columns with an early decorative arched timber fretwork valance between.
Other early decorative features include the ridge ornaments and the gable infill (ventilator, battening and panelling).
