Statement of Significance
The Lochaber site is of local historical significance for the Epping region. It represents a surviving example of late nineteenth century dairy industry that has continued to be utilised up to the present time.

LOCHABER HOMESTEAD - History
The property waspurchased by the Smith family on 10th of March 1884 and was used for dairying and cropping hay property probably dates from the 1870's with the house and barn design and construction suggesting a German influence. Bluestone house and outbuildings with dry stone walls in sections across the property.
Bluestone house, large bluestone barn, underground tank, drystone walls and mature trees, Findon Creek.
