Why is it significant?
Of historic significance, as a good and intact example of a Victorian shop, originally built as one of three shops by the estate of Thomas Wilkinson. (AHC Criterion A.4)

SHOP - Physical Description 1
The shop at 258 Albert Street, Brunswick is a single storey timber building set to the street front. It adjoins another shop to the west. To the east is the Salvation Army Hall.
The shop has a central entry door with timber framed shop windows to either side. Each shop window is in two sections with highlight panes. Below each window, the timber base boards retain moulded sections. The parapet has a central gable and is clad in painted metal sheet. The side wall to the east is weatherboard and the gable roof is clad in corrugated iron; one red brick stepped chimney is visible.SHOP - Physical Conditions
