How is it significant?
The house at 16 Tudor Street, Glenroy, is of local historic and aesthetic significance to the City of Moreland.
Why is it significant?
Historic significance, as an intact exampe of a late 1920s Californian Bungalow and as one of the earliest houses in the Tudor Street. Its early association with the area, its location in the midst of typical 1950s housing, and the scarcity of similar houses in the surrounding area, make it important in illustrating the early history of subdivision and settlement in the area. (AHC Criterion A.4)
Aesthetic significance, as a rare example of a 1920s Californian Bungalow in the area, 16 Tudor Street. (AHC Criterion E.1)
