Statement of Significance
Executed at the same time as the large memorial to Sir Thomas Bent, the drinking fountain, a memorial to Bent's wife and commissioned by their daughter, is of historical interest and significant at the Regional level.
Designed to be situated close to Sir Thomas's statue, the drinking fountain is a nice example of Baskerville's smaller commemorative work and demonstrates her skills as a functional designer and decorative sculptor.
