Statement of Significance
This large brick store was built in 1859 by W W Moore as a tobacco and spirits store for Morgan & Mackintosh, general importers. The courtyard facing the Murray Esplanade was added about 1865 for Customs and Shipping Agents' offices.
Used at one time as a Hall of Commerce, later as a Bonded Warehouse by McCulloch & Co. and later still as a depot for Shackell, White & Co.
