Statement of Significance
This prefabricated timber pavilion type classroom, now privately owned, was erected in 1914 and is one of about thirty similar classrooms built at about the same time in various parts of Victoria. Only about ten remain. Of these, eight have had major alterations and additions and only two, the Errol Street Primary School classroom in North Melbourne, and the one in Natimuk, survive in a reasonably original condition. The original structure had no windows but canvas blinds that rolled up and down. These blinds have been replaced by sliding shutters and windows which are not included.
