Statement of Significance
Two terraces each of six single storey cottages of polychrome brickwork with iron roofs and cast-iron verandah trim donated in 1887 by Mrs Thomas Austin of "Barwon Park" to the administration of the Ladies Benevolent Association and still occupied by its beneficiaries.

All buildings on the property have been brought together and Classified as a whole. The Statement of Significance for this new Grouping describes it as: Residential buildings symmetrically grouped about a central clock tower, all erected 1887-89 by Mrs. Thomas Austin of "Barwon Park" for administration by the Ladies Benevolent Association and still maintained by the Association's successors.
