Statement of Significance
A two-manual organ of 20 stops bult in 1886-87 by Alfred Fuller, of Kew, for the Methodist Church, North Melbourne. It was placed in Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Kensington in 1936 and moved to its present location about 1975. It is the largest Fuller organ to survive retaining its mechanical manual and stopactions, although the pedal action was converted to electric operation during the move to Geelong. At this time also, the facade pipes, which had been elaborately stencilled, were repainted and the stop lables replaced. In spite of these changes, the instrument retains its original tonal scheme and pipework and demonstrates Fuller's genius in design and voicing.
