Contribution to the landscape.
This planting is typical of the way this species was used, 25 trees on west side for 0.6km and a thicket row on east side (presumably for stock control). This species was widely planted as a hedge plant in the early years of settlement. The row is quite intact and extensive, particularly on the east side, although some gaps exist. This is the longest hedge planting of the species known in Victoria.
