One of the most significant properties in Victoria, 'Bontharambo' was settled in 1838 with extensive surrounding parklands, including an impressive collection of four Kurrajongs (Brachychiton populneus) The largest of these occurs beside the drive near the east side of the house. It is an outstanding specimen with a wide spreading canopy, globular crown and large trunk.
