Outstanding example of species
This tree is an outstanding example of a species rare in cultivation in Victoria. andhas developed to an enormous size with excellent form. Arbutus canariensis,is native to the Canary Islands and this example is one of the finest ornamental trees in Victoria.
Other examples are known in the Colac Botanic Gardens and the Old Moss's Nursery site at Buninyong.
