Outstanding size
This tree is an outstanding specimen and the second largest measured in Victoria .This tree is a dominant feature of the landscape and a remnant of the courtyard garden surrounding the homestead of pioneer settler Boyd Cunninghame, established in the late 1840s. The homestead was burnt to the ground in 1921. The tree is amongst the oldest cultivated trees in Victoria.
It is located on private land off Roseneath Road, Meerlieu, on a slope overlooking Lake Wellington, at Roseneath Bay.
