This Sitka Spruce is an attractive and well-formed specimen within a fine collection of conifers.that were believed to have been planted 120 years ago (1982)
The Sitka Spruce (Picea sitchensis) is named after Sitka, Alaska although its natural range is along the coast of NW America. In the Northern Hemisphere it is grown commercially for timber and paper production.
