Outstanding example ofspecies
This is an outstanding tree, being the best example of the Juniperus virginiana known in cultivation in Victoria.(1988).This species ofjuniper isa slow growing native of eastern North America from southeastern Canada to the Gulf of Mexico The tree has a marked lean towards the west.
Other examples are known at Sale and younger specimens at Bendigo (White Hills Garden) and Maryborough (Phillips Gardens).
