This tree is an unusual form of the Dracaena species having formed a straight trunk to 4.95m and then branched. It is the tallest known example in cultivation in Victoria. A native of the Canary Islands listed on the World Rare and Threatened Species List, Dracaena draco is a monocot with a tree-like growth habit currently placed in the asparagus family. It is not a real tree
