Statement of Significance
Contribution to landscape
These trees, native to Queensland, are two fine examples of the species growing as street trees. Along with adjacent specimens of Ficus, Araucaria heterophylla and Pinus they represent a style of street tree planting popular between 1850-1870. After this period deciduous trees became widely planted.
