Statement of Significance
Outstanding example of species
This is an attractive and large Cork Oak (Quercus suber) planted in the south west corner of the historic property, 'Canonbury', built circa 1861. Its well rounded spreading canopy, branch distribution and location within the garden provides a major contribution to the landscape. The tree was severely effected by Oak Leaf Miner in 1987 but has been well maintained since and is now healthy
