Aesthetic significance
This is an attractive and intact avenue of English Elm trees planted between 1910 and 1915 as part of the gardens associated with thehomestead, which was completed in 1910. The original garden, comprising mainly conifers and box hedging, was laid out in the 1850s. The trees vary in condition and one has recently suffered from wind damage. The canopy of the trees cover the main drivewayand their uniformity makes this avenue particularly fine.
