Statement of Significance
Tree which occurs in a unique location or context and so provides a contribution to the historic garden or park;
Rare or localised
A particularly large and outstanding specimen forming part of a fine collection within the Gardens. Two other specimens occur north of the summer house. This tree species is listed as threatened on the IUCN list. Several examples occur in Victoria in Provincial Gardens, The Royal Botanic Gardens, University of Melbourne and Werribee Park.The trees at Geelong display their usual habit of being multi-trunked 1-2 metres above ground level.
The tree is located west of thatched-roof summer house and 5 metres south of the Brachychiton discolour.
