Particularly old
A very unusual avenue planting leading to one of Victoria's most historic wineries. This is the only known occurrence of Morus alba - there are occasional Morus nigra and possibly Morus alba cultivars.Planted in the 1880s by the manager, Francois de Couslant who envisaged employing couples - the men to work in the vineyard and the women to spin silk. This did not eventuate. The trees vary in condition from very poor to good ( recent plantings). The owners have replanted sections near thenorthern gate. The best section occurs just north of the residence
It is located along the driveway for about 1.6 km, generally north of the WInery complex
