Outstanding example of species.
This tree has an outstanding form and its dense upright canopy is very attractive. It is outstanding in summer when covered in flowers. The petals are long and narrow and vary in colour from almost white to pale pink and dotted with purple spots. Other examples occur nearby and a fine specimen also occurs along Government House Drive. The species is native to South Africa, growing South East of the Cape and can reach 12 - 20 metres.
