BAYVIEW HOMESTEAD SITE - Heritage Inventory Description
This is the presumed "Bayview" homestead site. Site consists of pine tree line (windbreak) around and beside what would have been the house site. Brick fragments (hand-made and Northcote) and window glass have been found on the site. Moundings and depressions are also evident at the site. Much of the area is covered by low stinging nettles. Ceramic and shell fragments noted in the surrounding ploughed paddocks up to 500m radius. The site was demolished by Alcoa circa 1980.
