Statement of Significance
The two storey stone structure, 79 - 81 Percy Street, dates from early times. The composition with a splayed corner is typical of nineteenth century design. The facades are decorated in a naive classical manner, the contrast between the rusticated stone of the first floor with the stucco mouldings is noteworthy. The building is a significant example of building design dating from the early years of Portland's development.
