HOUSE - Physical Description 1
A simple, high transverse-gable weatherboarded cottage with a convex, hipped roof verandah at the building line and a vertical boarded and capped balustrade which acts as the front fence. A multi-paned half-glazed door two hung- sash windows and a band of shingle pattern weatherboards under the verandah, appear (but for the door) to be alterations from early this century. Austere cast-iron verandah ornament may date from the late 1800s.
It is likely that the north wall has been re-boarded, the roof re-clad and the bay windows, shown in the 1910 MMBW plan (see History), were presumably replaced when the shingle-patterned boards were applied.
