How is it significant?
Wilsleigh at 31 Pleasant Street, Pascoe Vale is of local historic and aesthetic significance to the City of Moreland.
Why is it significant?
Of historic significance, as one of the houses built as part of the 1890s subdivsion of Pleasant Street, which was developed in response to the extension of the railway line to Pascoe Vale. (AHC Criterion A.4)
Of aesthetic significance, as a good, if altered, example of a simple Italianate villa in Pascoe Vale, where few such examples were built or survive. (AHC Criterion E.1)

WILSLEIGH - Physical Description 1
Wilsleigh is a single storey double fronted Italianate villa, with painted brick walls and a hipped corrugated galvanised steel roof. The front chimney is bi-chrome brick and it is probable that the house is also bi-chrome brick. The rear chimney is red brick and both chimneys have paired terracota chimney pots. The house is a simple design, with a four panel front door flanked by double hung sash windows. The return verandah has turned timber columns and there are decorative brackets under the eave line on the front elevation.
