PENINSULA ROAD GOLDFIELD - History
Heritage Inventory History of Site: The Upper Yarra was sluiced for gold from the late 1850s, but many of the features along this walk date from more recent periods. One of the water races in the area was applied for in 1909 to divert water from O'Shannassy River to Big Bills Creek for gold sluicing purposes.
