SITE PROVIDED A GOOD RANGE OF MATERIALS RELATED TO 1850S ONWARDS SHORELINE OCCUPATION OF GRIFFITHS POINT, SAN REMO.

FIDDLER'S GREEN - Heritage Inventory Description
Remains visibile limited to shore line. Probably evidence of Pickersgill occupation.
ONE DEGRADED ROCK WALL/PIER, 4 SMALL WOODEN PIERS DEGRADED, SCATTER OF WEATHERED MID-TO-LATE 1800S CERAMIC AND GLASS ARTEFACTS AND PROBABLE TRACK TO BEACH. ROCK WALL/PIER AND REMAINS OF WOODEN PIERS INDICATE THE E/W BOUNDARY. ARTEFACTS ARE SCATTERED MOSTLY EAST OF WOODEN PIERS. NO GROUND SURFACE VISIBILITY IN PROBABLE LOCATION OF PICKERSGILL HUT. TRACK COMING DOWN THE HILL OBSCURED BY THICK GRASS. LIKELY TO BE LOTS MORE ARTEFACTS IN WATER.
