Statement of Significance
The house at 4 Burke Street, St Arnaud is historically and architecturally significant at a CONTRIBUTORY level. It is associated with residential developments in St Arnaud in the late 19th and early 20th century and demonstrates some important design qualities. These qualities include the gable roof form, horizontal weatherboard wall cladding, bull nosed verandah, galvanised corrugated iron roof cladding, and the timber framed windows. The setbacks from the front and side boundaries of the building on the site contributes to the streetscape in the area.
