Statement of Significance
The house at 37 McMahon Street, St. Arnaud, is historically and architecturally significant at a CONTRIBUTORY level. It is associated with residential developments in St. Arnaud in the early 20th century and demonstrates some important design qualities. These qualities include the gable roof form, the gable porch supported on rendered pillars and pressed cement columns, galvanised corrugated iron roof cladding, and the timber framed windows.
