Statement of Significance
The house at 26 Queens Street, St. Arnaud is historically and architecturally significant at a CONTRIBUTORY level. It is associated with residential developments in St. Arnaud in the late 19th century and early 20th century and demonstrates some important design qualities. These qualities include the hipped roof forms, brick walls, skillion return verandah, galvanised corrugated iron roof cladding, brick chimneys and the timber framed windows. The setbacks from the front and side boundaries of the building on the site contributes to the streetscape in the area.
