Statement of Significance
What is significant?
How is it significant?
Why is it significant?
The building at 157-161 Main Street, Stawell, is historically and architecturally significant at a CONTRIBUTORY level. Although the early facade has been greatly altered, the three bayed parapet with a solid central title panel and flanking incised panels and piers, rendered wall constructed and the pitched roof form behind are those particular elements that contribute to the architectural and historical amenity of the area.
