Statement of Significance
The substantial double fronted brick home at 65 Gawler Street dates from c .1880. The house is typically composed and substantially intact although the brickwork walls have been painted. An unusual and most distinctive feature of the building is the decorative cast iron work to the verandah, the design of which incorporates kookaburas.
