Statement of Significance
The house at 22 Sloane Street, Stawell, makes a significant architectural contribution to the predominantly late 19th and early 20th century residential area. It is significant at a CONTRIBUTORY level, being associated with residential developments in Stawell in late 19th or early 20th century and it demonstrates some remnant and appropriate design qualities of a Victorian style. These qualities include the asymmetrical composition, single storey height, gable roof form that traverses the site and the projecting gable, galvanised corrugated iron roof cladding, horizontal timber weatherboard wall cladding, narrow eaves and the timber framed double hung windows.
