Statement of Significance
The house at 50 Smith Street, Stawell is of aesthetic significance at a CONTRIBUTORY level in the Stawell Seaby Street precinct. The building retains qualities of a characteristic Victorian timber residence. These qualities include the hipped M form roof clad in corrugated steel, the hipped roofed front verandah supported on timber posts, the external brick chimneys, The square edged weatherboard wall cladding, the timber front doorway and timber double hung windows.
