Sisters Rocks, Western Highway, STAWELL - Physical Description 1
The Sisters rocks are approached by there own access road for a short distance from the Western Highway. The rocks are on a relatively flat site , slightly elevated from the road. The area has flat weathered hard stand parking and road area with eucalypts encircling the site and now growing within the scatter of rocks. The granite tors are a tumble of rocks of varying size in quite a tight grouping and produce a dramatic element in the landscape. The rocks facing the public access are now heavily covered in graffiti which appears to be getting larger and higher over the rocks faces in more recent times. The graffiti dates back over most of the 20th century. It is an area of debate that this is an historical record or ugly disfigurement of the natural beauty of the rocks.
