Statement of Significance
The group of buildings at 6, 8 - 12 Julia Street were erected in the early 1850'S. for pioneer settler and merchant, Stephen Henty, and originally served as woolstores. The two storey stone structures are simply composed and are typical of such premises dating from this early period. The buildings are amongst the oldest warehouses in Victoria and are also important for their historical association with Stephen Henty.
