Statement of Significance
Statement of Significance as recorded under the Queenscliff Heritage Study 2009
No. 132 Fellows Road is of historical and architectural significance to the Borough of Queenscliffe. It is the oldest surviving house in Point Lonsdale, and one of very few built there in brick at the time. As a modest and simply-detailed, verandah-fronted weatherboard residence it was also as a prototype for several subsequent early properties in Point Lonsdale.

132 Fellows Road, Point Lonsdale - Physical Description 1
Extract from the 2009 study
132 Fellows Road is a symmetrically composed, single-fronted single-storey residence, comprising two transverse pitched roofs with a valley junction, a common farm house type in Victoria. The walls are brick with render; the roofs are timber framed with a cladding in corrugated galvanised steel (or recent origin). The chimneys to the side gables are plain corbelled types in face brick. The windows, which are of long standing, are double-hung timber framed six-pane sashes. The verandah, probably rebuilt, is a plain timber-framed structure with a brick floor. Weatherboard extensions have been made added at the rear. These project to the south, to the side of the original house, and read as distinct elements. A free-standing car port has been added to one side.
