18-20 Glaneuse Road - Physical Description 1
Extract from the 2009 study
18-20 Glaneuse Road is a single-fronted, single-storey, symmetrically designed house in the Victorian Italianate manner but completed quite late, in 1907. Two double-hung timber framed sash windows flank a centrally placed front door frame with sidelights and a fanlight. The lean-to verandah appears to have been rebuilt. The wing walls seen in a 1990 photograph of the house may still be in situ. The hipped roof, on a timber frame, is clad in corrugated galvanised steel. The main walls of the house are timber with weatherboard cladding. The eaves are boxed and supported on paired brackets separated by decorative timber frieze panels.
This house is one of the early farm houses in Point Lonsdale. Externally it appears to be largely in its original form and is set within a large front garden.
