Williamstown Naval Dockyard - Veterans Description for Public
The Williamstown Dockyard opened in 1856, but possibly only for ship docking and repairs. The first warship (the Deakin) built there was completed in 1920. In 1922, the dockyard was renamed the Williamstown Naval Dockyard.
