Warragul War Memorial - Veterans Description for Public
The Warragul War Memorial is situated in an island garden at the intersection of two main streets. The memorial comprises of a granite obelisk on a stepped base and was dedicated on 9th April 1923.The memorial site also includes two granite pillars at the south side entrance added in 1955 and two flagpoles on granite bollards on the north side. The pillars honour service in the First World War and Second World War. The bollards on the north side honour service in Korea, Vietnam and Malaysia. Plaques were recently added for the Boer War and the British Occupation Force in Japan (1945-1952).
