Statement of Significance
Site dates from at least 20th century when dairying was a staple industry fir the region. Site is demolished in part. Has potential for sub-surface cultural material. Part of the unwritten history of Doreen/Mernda area.

FORMER FARM HOUSE SITE AND OUTBUILDINGS - History
Site lies within former 'Egglestone Estate' established by Henry and John Cooke in early 1850s. The western end of the subdivision was into small blocks. This site lies at the very southern section of blocks abutting a nominated flour and saw mill reserve. It is not known who may have owned this land prior to the present.Heritage Inventory Description
FORMER FARM HOUSE SITE AND OUTBUILDINGS - Heritage Inventory Description
Consists of a timber stock yard and ramp facing Cookes Road. The stock ramp had a foundation of large rubble, with a concrete surface, timber supports and framing. To south, to buildings, one being a former dairy or cool room. To east of stockyard, disturbed ground was noted. Two areas north was fringed by a peppercorn, tree, rose bushes and summer bulbs. South consisted of distinct rubble, blackberries. Possible early dwelling/farm site.
