House - Physical Description 1
This is an example of an intact turn of the century house, garden and fencing. The house has two three sided bays projecting from the front faced and expressed in the roof, a verandah skirting across the front returning slightly on each side with a bull-nosed profile roof. The very dense frieze iron is of a late pattern supported on brackets of a radiating motif on fluted iron columns.. The balustrade is of panels and bars.. The eaves brackets have timber panels between, and the roof itself retains the finials at either end of the ridge cresting and terminating the projecting bay roofs. .The garden also appears intact with a round central lawn and d gravel path with edgings of decorative tile. The timber picket fence with spear tops is intact. It has square timber: posts with cast iron caps and curves back to the recessed gateway.. Unfortunately the gate has been replaced but the original tile in the recess. This style of house with complementary garden and .fencing is rarely found intact and is an important building and site in its own right, and an important element in the environmental area.
