STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE
201 Autumn Street is a typical timber building of circa 1890 with some unusual elements, There are few in Geelong West. It is of local significance.

A more appropriate verandah would greatly enhance the character of this building as would more appropriate paint colours.

"Galloway" - Physical Description 1
DESCRIPTION
The single storey timber dwelling has a main hipped roof and a projecting gable room. The roof is clad in corrugated iron and the walls in weatherboard. The front elevation has decorative wall treatment in the form of timber ashlar. There are two brick chimney's visible from the street. The front windows are large double-hung and have narrow double-hung sidelights. Decorative elements include the eaves brackets and the barge boards. The later is more common on earlier buildings. The verandah is a recent addition.
