STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE
A brick Italianate house built in the mid1890s. It is architecturally significant locally as characteristic of this domestic style and of interest for its unusual window details. It is historically significant as a representative embodiment of the comfortable family life of the period.

Residence - Physical Description 1
A tuck-pointed red brick, hip roofed, double-fronted Italianate house. The left front bay is set forward, with a hip-roofed canted bay. This has a Venetian window with cement label and stringcourse moulds and a deep banded cill, on brackets. The bullnosed hip-roofed verandah is in the angle, with cast-iron columns, lace valence and brackets. The eaves have brick ogee brackets and frieze mould. There are cement quoins and a rock-faced bluestone base and steps. The entry has leadlight side and fanlights, with a four-panelled door. The right window has a timber spandrel and a flat cement architrave. Chimneys have deep brick frieze-moulds, brackets and pots.
