STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE
A late Victorian timber house built in 1901 - It is architecturally significant locally as a characteristic survival of the architectural manner of the Late Victorian period, although actually built in the early twentieth century and only a few years before the distinctively Edwardian style house at no 10 (ref: 65). It is historically significant as a representative embodiment of family life at the turn of the century.
INTACTNESS: Very Good, The fence is appropriate, but appears recent.
CONDITIONS AND THREATS: Very good. Sub-floor ventilation.

Residence - Physical Description 1
DESCRIPTION
A double-fronted hip-roofed, timber late Victorian house. The left bay projects as a gable, with timbered roughcast upper section, over a skillion, ripple-iron hood, with ogee gutter and rectangular triple bay window. Windows have mock shingles spandrels. The hip, bull nosed verandah is in the angle, with a spindle palisade valence and fretwork brackets to turned posts. Eaves have ogees brackets and frieze mould. Chimneys have red moulded bricks and pots.
