Queenscliff HMAS Napier Memorial - Veterans Description for Public
The Queenscliff HMAS Napier Memorial commemorates the lives of two men lost overboard from the ship in the Bass Strait on 8th March 1945: A.B. Ronald F. Back and A.B. Leslie J. Halpin. The Napier with her sister ships Nizam and Nestor formed part of the 7th Destroyer Flotilla. The plaque was erected by the "N" Class Destroyers Association of Australia.
